Different types of chemical reactions

Depending upon the characteristic properties shown, chemical reactions have been classified into following types –(i) Combination or Synthesis reactions (ii) Decomposition reactions (iii) Double decomposition reactions (iv) Neutralisation reactions (v) Displacement reactions (vi) Redox reactions. A given reaction , sometimes, can be classified under two headings. Let us discuss these reactions.
