Temperature Scales

Temperature Scales

Celsius Scale

1. Ice Point = 00C

2. Steam Point = 1000C

3. Number of division in between these points = 100

Fahrenheit Scale

1. Ice Point = 320C

2. Steam Point = 2120C

3. Number of division in between these points = 180

Celsius–to–Fahrenheit Conversion Formula:   x 0C X 9/5 + 32 = 0F

Kelvin Scale

It is theoretical scale in which the value can be obtained simply by adding 273 to the Celsius scale. The zero Kelvin on the scale is called the absolute zero as most of the gases liquefy before absolute zero is reached. This is equivalent to – 2730 C.
